Memory One
Part One - Part Two
'Earliest' Memories
Things to Note:
- All names are redacted. However, her adoptive father's title as 'Chairman' will remain. Also, she will hear the part about all girl's being princesses, but not what her true name is.
- The memory is broken up into two separate parts to try and help with clarity. It begins with her rescue and will turn into a slight montage of scenes that go up to her first week in her new home.
Summary:
Part 1:
- Yuuki appears to be about five years old. She wakes up outside in the middle of a blizzard. The white snow about her is deep, but also splashed red with blood. She seems scared and confused.
- A man appears before her. He asks if she is lost and when he determines that she must be, he attacks her. He grabs hold of her to reveal fangs.
- She tries to yell for him to stop before he can sink his fangs into her throat. At that moment, however, they are interupted.
- A boy appears out of nowhere in a flash. His had goes clear through the vampire's head, splattering blood upon them all. With a yank, he pulls his hand back and that man drops dead.
- "You're a disgrace to all vampires." The boy licks at the blood that covers his hands and then glances to her to ask if she is okay.
- She appears confused and doesn't speak. She lifts a gloved hand up to her cheek which is now covered in blood. She sniffs at it but he lowers her hand and tells her not to touch at it.
- The boy asks her why is alone in such a place. When she doesn't respond he grabs her hand and tells her to come with him. He introduces himself and asks for her name.
- Yuuki doesn't seem to know what her name is. Her hands tremble in his and he seems to notice that she's both cold and scared. He embraces warmly her and puts voice to her feelings.
Part 2:
- Time seems to have passed. Yuuki is now in a room, inspecting a pudding uncertainly as a new man sits across from her. At her side is the boy who saved her.
- The new man mentions that he understands that the boy wants him to take care of her and that he is indebted to that boy's parents.
- Yuuki sniffs at the pudding and pokes at it a bit before the man comments that it seems she doesn't realize it can be eaten, and the boy comments that it seems her memories have disappeared completely.
- The boy grabs a spoon and explains that she should eat it, and moves to help her. That's when she notices his teeth, however. They are sharp.
- The boy asks her what is wrong and tells her to open up, but she reaches out toward his own mouth. When her fingers touch his lips, he parts them for her and her finger gently brushes one of his fangs...
- Before the memory of the man who attacked her strikes and screams in terror and backpedals upon the couch.
- The boy appears sadly resigned and tells the 'chairman' that she should probably remove himself from her sight. They talk briefly, and she watches him go.
- The chairman explains to her that 'that guy' once told him that all girls are born princesses, and so that she would be his ****** princess.
- A week seems to pass and Yuuki is attempting to dress. She struggles with a sock, and the chairman comments that despite it being a week, she hasn't spoken at all.
- Suddenly the door slams open and the boy who has saved her before rushes inside in a clear panic just out of sight, before the chairman calmly greets him.
- It seems the chairman sent a telegram that said Yuuki had been attacked and so he had run back to save her, only to realize it had been a lie.
- The boy proclaims that he'll never believe the chairman again before suddenly the chairman begins to point at her and cry for the other to look.
- Yuuki has proudly put on her clothes all by herself (even though they are all wrong). Suddenly the boy peeks at her from around the corner, and in surprise, she dives beneath her towel.
- The boy suddenly breaks into a fit of laughter at her....!!!! The chairman seems to think he's broke somehow.
- When the boy finally begins to calm down he smiles at her and apologizes to her for having scared her, saying that he'll go and telling her bye.
- Yuuki rushes out from beneath her towel and reaches out to grasp hold of his jacket. Despite having been a little scared and embarrassed, she doesn't really want him to go either.
- For the first time since her ordeal, she speaks his name-- and smiles, before speaking his name once more.
Commentary:
- Some vampires are scary some aren't as scary.
- Snow is not supposed to be red
- A chairman of something is supposed to be her adoptive father
- The boy appears to maybe be someone special to her.
- FUCKING DOUBLE AMNESIA.
Effects:
- This just alerts her to the fact that apparently in the amnesia department, this isn't her first rodeo. Vampires are a thing that she was kind of afraid of for a while despite being one herself? Or was she one back here...
Memory Two
(Chapter 25 - 26)
Things to Note:
- All names are redacted. However, her adoptive father's title as 'Chairman' will remain. Also, she will hear the part about all girl's being princesses, but not what her true name is.
- 'Nothing' on Taisho makes an appearance in this memory!
Summary:
Commentary:
- She knows 'Nothing' outside of Imeeji. He's from her own world and apparently important to her
- She used to be human. . .
- The boy who saved her is....????
- Welp vampire children don't suck blood they suck energy.
- There's something strange about basement rooms with no windows
- The vampire world is so beautiful and how could she ever fit in? Except she is one now. . .
- She has a cute friend.
- Apparently, 'Nothing' had some kind of work at the party
Effects:
This has alerted her to the fact that she has a relationship outside of the game to one of the people on her unit. She'll want to investigate that more and will be slightly confused about it since her feelings were all over the place in the memory. But apparently, they are childhood friends somehow and he had come to move in with her. In addition, this will cause her some confusion regarding her vampire status. She knows she is one now, But she's not sure when or how that has come to be.
Memory Three
(Chapter 1)
Things to Note:
- All names are redacted. However, her adoptive father's title as 'Chairman' will remain. Nicknames will remain as well.
- This memory takes place over an expanded amount of time (two days)
Summary:
Commentary:
- The night class sure is popular
- Rei doesn't seem to like Senpai... or vampires.
- So the place is called Cross Academy and there is a Day and Night Class
- Night Class is vampires!
- Drinking blood on school grounds is prohibited
- I have a weapon!! So does Rei...
- The chairman needs a new desk
- I rock at jumping off of high story buildings
- Sweet blood?
- That sucks, I get detention a lot
- Rei and I bicker a lot too
- Rei can be rude
- Rei was adopted by the chairman too? Or at least the chairman has custody...
Effects: She's a little confused on her relationship to Rei. It seems they live together... although on academy grounds they might be sleeping in dorms. She's also confused because Rei's a vampire but he seems to really hate vampires here. It gives her a better understanding of the school, though, in general.
Memory Four
(VKM Chapter 6)
Things to Note:
- All names are redacted, including the title of the man the aristocracy is referring to.
Summary:
Commentary:
- She can use part of herself to disintegrate into butterflies or even form a weapon from it!
- She's a pureblood vampire. That means she's royalty...
- Vigilante justice...!
- Don't fuck with the people she cares about or you might get dead. Fair warning...!
- Someone tried to kill someone important to her due to their relationship but the criminal was killed.
- Politics suck
Effects: She's a little shocked to learn that she's a pureblood due to the fact that she also has memories of having been human. Isn't that impossible...? She isn't sure what to think about a number of things now. And who is it that people wanted to kill...?
Memory Five
(Chapter 17)
Things to Note:
- All names are redacted EXCEPT for Zero's and now Kaname's.
- Titles remain (such as father/chairman/senpai/etc)
- Everything is from Kaguya's point of view. If there is a scene without her in it then it's not witnessed!
Summary:
I'LL FILL THIS IN LATER I'M LAZY. Honestly, just Look at the scans.
Kaguya goes to her school dance which she helped set-up/moniter but she gets a dress from Kaname-senpai and gets to dance with him!!
Commentary:
- I KNOW MY SENPAI'S NAME NOW. It's Kaname.
- DOKI DOKI DOKI DOKI over Kaname
- Shit wait he erased my memory? What did he erase...? I had my memories erased another time too. Hmm....
- My adoptive father is embarrassing.
- My cute friend is still nameless.
- This Ball had vampires and humans mixed together.
Effects: This just confirms more of her feelings regarding Kaname. But the fact that he removed her from a situation and erased her memories is a little troubling to her. It reminds her of the fact that she has no memories even at home... from the age of 5 and under.
Memory Six
(Chapter 81)
Things to Note:
- Nothing for once!
Commentary:
- It's the middle of a fight. Kaguya jumps, clearly having taken a swing at something or someone, with her scythe--but they're gone. In fact, suddenly the world feels gray, like she's in some kind of strange space. Rising, she looks around when all at once she hears the safety click and feels the barrel of a gun pressed against the back of her head. It's Zero, she realizes--- his words are cold. 'This man ruined me. Why can't you give up on him now...?'
- Could it be real... or an illusion? But just as she turns around to face him he pulls the trigger. Abruptly pain erupts within her head and the sound of the bullet firing echoes between her ears as she falls. Blood pools beneath her and drops down her forehead when he moves over her body, weapon still trained upon her. And he asks her why she doesn't give up...
- It feels incredibly real and jarring. But at the same time--- no. It must be an illusion.
Commentary:
- ????????
- ????????????????????
- I was just shot in the head by Zero!?
- Or not really.............. I don't think. It just felt like it. Right...?
- Who is the person who was supposed to have ruined him...? And who was she fighting before that?
Effects: MASS CONFUSION.
Memory 7
(Chapter 73)
Things to Note:
- Obviously only the scenes Yuuki is in count.
- All names are redacted except for 'Kaname" and "Zero".
Commentary:
Just look at the scans, it's easier! I'll write something more later. But the short of it...
- Kaguya has LOTS on her mind. She runs into her friend and tops her because she looks delicious. But she's a good girl so she doesn't bite. She's troubled and feeling useless and weak and hiding from Zero? Apparently she's not around Kaname now?
- She has a weird conversation with [______] but it appears her allegiance is still with Kaname.
- Later she waits around for Zero to apologize to him for not being at the top of her game. And eventually admits that she wants things to be like they used to be. He tells her she's crazy and drags her off into the woods and tells her to drink his blood because she's dumb and hungry.
Commentary:
- ????????
- ????????????????????
- Something is going on with Kaname but I still have faith in him??
- ZERO IS KIND OF A JERK? But trying to help me??
- This Maria girl in my thoughts is annoying me.
- Nngggggggg
Effects: MASS CONFUSION. Unable to decide just what her relationship with Zero and Kaname is supposed to be. And what's been going on with the night class...?? Tablets suck.
Memory 8
Memory 9
Part One - Part Two
(Chapter 51 & 52)
Things to Note:
- All names are intact--!
- The healthy delusion she sees will be visible to the audience. But it will be clear that there's also nothing really there.
- Thoughts will be heard so people know what she's thinking.
- Only scenes with Yuuki in it are viewable, obviousy.
Summary:
- Yuuki is thirsting for blood and clearly hasn't drank for a while. She's not in a good mental state and has a conversation with a... child version of herself which she tries to crush. It's super healthy.
- Turns out it really wasn't real, surprise. But she's still thirsty and ultimately... ends up biting herself. Because sure that will work except not really. Aidou smells her blood and finds her. He notices her hunger and that something seems off about her relationship but rather than force answers out of her, he gives her some blood tablets. Her 'brother' shows up however and says no to the blood tablets and that he'd take care of her.
- Things grow a little darker as they talk. She admits that she will never fully be sated because she loves more than one person and he says that's fine-- which upsets her. He calls her a terrible fiance and she agrees and tries to run off but he won't let her. He tells her that he'd rather kill her than let her go again. Or else have her kill him. He gets weird about things, before allowing her to drink some of his blood--
- She notices and senses that there is something behind a set of doors, but he doesn't ultimately tell her what's behind them when she asks.
Commentary:
- Welp her childhood crush is also her brother who is also her fiance.
- This was her first time using her fangs on her own
- She's super healthy obviously.
- Kaname can have a bad personality sometimes
- There's something behind those doors
- She's never had blood tablets and is only allowed to drink Kaname's blood
- She has feelings for both Zero and Kaname and gosh she's a crappy fiance but at least she's honest.
Effects:
- Feel like shit because she's a bad fiance. Also, this was all a lot to take in.
Memory 10
(VKM Chapter 26)
Things to Note:
- All names are intact!
- 'Yuuki' her real name is used here.
- This should only be from her point of view
- The chapter jumps around a little
- She did not see who is in the ice coffin
- The background information is bolded because it is not very clear in the scans what is going on, but she WOULD have this information inside her head, and so anyone who sees the memory is allowed to be in on the know as well.
The Chapter:
Hovering beside your eldest daughter's bed while seated on a chair, you watch over her as you have the last few days. The recent attack on your youngest daughter, only in high school still leaves you shaken. And this sleep-like coma that Ai has fallen into is a result of her injuries after protecting her younger sister. There are a million things you need to do about this situation and it's difficult to know where to start. You start going over what you know once more for the millionth time.
A manufactured and new species of 'vampire' has been created. And a mysterious shadow behind the scenes known as the 'Vampire King' is responsible for this. During the attack on your daughter, it took place during the soiree of pureblood acquaintance of yours. The vampires and humans alike working beneath the 'Vampire King' were determined to bury the vampires at this party underground. In addition to this, they collared innocent individuals to explosive devices in order to make it seem as though that acquaintance had something to do with their predicament. At this time, a mysterious bomb squad showed up to rescue the trapped individuals... but from your own informants, it is more likely that these people are also connected to the Vampire King. They were neither properly human nor vampire. Instead, it seems they have been blended together with the genetics of humans, vampires, and hunters. And these individuals, troubling enough, have been plastered all over the news and media as defenders of public safety.
It becomes even worse. Small villages and towns have been attacked and innocent humans slaughtered. And in each of these cases, it has been staged to appear as though the vampires are responsible for it. Even after your failed attempt to save a village the other day... you were forced to flee with the full knowledge that were you found there you would have been wrongly accused. The human government has steadily begun to frame the vampires and disregard the reports and information provided by the Vampire Hunter's Association. As a result, humans are receiving false reports and there has been increasing violence and tension against the vampire populace as a whole. The hatred and anger against them has become incredibly radicalized after the initial spread of public anxiety. And now... this organization has targetted Cross Academy, your father's legacy and what had been his deep desire for peace and coexistence between humans and vampires alike.
As a result of everything, known or suspected residences have been attacked by protestors. Even the Academy has dealt with many attempts. But fortunately, hostile entities are unable to harm anyone on the academy grounds, due to the protection of that person.
It all leads you back to this moment. Knowing that the protection squad is no more than a fabrication and the government... specifically a particular mayor is actually behind these attacks, you thought that maybe if you sired him and took on a villain role you'd be able to spare everyone else, but apparently that idea was shot down immediately. And with that, a male voice-- Kaname's voice lingers in your mind.
'Playing the villain doesn't suit you. There's always another way. That's what you would have said in the old days...'
Nng. This whole situation is one frustration after another and you're really struggling with what the right solution to it all might be though. With your daughter asleep, you find yourself talking aloud.
"Just for now, I'll listen to what you said."
You huff, leaning on the bed before tiredly flattening your face against the blankets.
"But if possible, I want you to tell me something about my impulsive wish to sacrifice my life for you." Your mind always seems to come back to it. One day you surely will, you think. But maybe now isn't the time. Glancing down at the bed you gaze at your beautiful daughter, still fast asleep.
"This child must think about the same things that I do too."
She's much too reckless, and that's the last thing you want for her. Still, you're fond as you lean forward and poke her cheek with a smile.
"She even pushed herself so far that she fell asleep. She sleeps a lot, just like you..."
For whatever the reason is, talking about your problems aloud has always helped you sort through your thoughts. So at last you push up from the bed.
"Now--" There's work to be done. "There are things I need to deal with," No matter how much you don't want to leave her side. "So I have to go. It would be great if I could handle everything before Ren gets back."
How long will they be gone for? No matter. Opening the door to leave, you're met by a young, blonde man.
"Yuuki-Obasan, I'll watch over Ai-chan."
"Is that okay?" It's a relief if he will. You absolutely hate leaving her alone like this and want someone familiar nearby if she wakes up. He nods his assent.
"Yes. I checked on my father and the laboratory and there is nothing to worry about."
Good. He moves on inside the room just as another calls for your attention. She's a thin, beautiful woman with silvery hair and eyes.
"Yuuki-sama. It's about Representative Kain and the special Council meeting."
Fortunately, you already know about this, so you nod over your shoulder.
"Representative Kain has already made all of the arrangements and told me everything that I need to know, so it's fine. Anyway, you should hurry and finish setting up."
You need a moment to clear your head, and thus, you decide to visit the ice coffin beneath the basement of the academy. What you don't expect to hear or see is a commotion. Least of all the discussion topic at hand. On the other side of an upturned table, a number of students protest against a tall blonde-- 'Grave-Keeper Ichijou-sama'. And what the students want, due to these uncertain times, is to die...
Stepping inside, you survey the scene and address your friend.
"Ichijou-san, these vampires, are they-"
"Sorry," He says apologetically, looking chagrined. "Some strange vampires just came here. I relied too much on Kaname's strength."
Watching the children, you approach and notice as they shudder, suddenly nervous and unsure. Crouching down beside them, your voice is gentle when you finally speak. To think that these young vampires would believe that their best option in these uncertain times is to die.
"I understand why you cling to the thought of dying." How many times have you thought of doing the same? For a long time now you've contemplated the fact that one day you hope to sacrifice your life. But your lifespan will be much longer than their own. And these children are the future. It saddens you to realize that things have come to such a state. Your voice is firm, and you address them all seriously.
"I have an idea. So please bear with me for a moment."
It's your responsibility to give these children... the rest of the vampire race, too, a safe place to live. Things can't go on the way that they have been. The clock can't be turned back, and at a time when you know there to be no hope of improvement due to how things have played out, big changes to ensure the well being and protection of everyone needs to be made.
That's why, at the council meeting with your fellow pureblood, the representatives of the vampire council as well as those in attendance for the vampire hunter's association, you finally addresses everyone with your thoughts.
"I think it's time for a strategic retreat."
Of course, that's when one of your number grins.
"Oh? Are we finally going to space?"
. . . That's not actually a terrible idea despite the fact that she is joking, you think. Even if Ichijou looks unsure. But no, it isn't what you had in mind. Not entirely.
"Until things have calmed down, we should close off the lands we live in now and stay within our borders. Or rather, we should isolate ourselves from the humans."
It's a drastic step but honestly speaking if they want to keep the vampires safe without resorting to violence against humans, than you don't see a different option right now.
"This could work if we freely use our secret scientific developments. And, if we are a little patient and cooperate. That way, we can wait until time presents us with a solution. What do you think?"
The one thing they all have is time. You're entirely serious and sincere as you look out at the small group before you in order to gauge their reaction to the idea. Before you turn to make eye contact with one in particular.
"I read something similar in one of your comics, Ichijou-san. It was very good."
This can definitely work.
Commentary:
- IS SHE AN AUNT?
- Has a feeling Kaname is in the ice coffin... bro why are you sleeping on ice...?
- Things just aren't looking that great in society right now...
Effects:
- Just trying to make sense of all this. She has knowledge of events but not full memories of all of them so it's a lot. Also having to make your race go into isolation isn't awesome either.
Memory 11
(Chapter 61)
Things to Note:
- All names are intact--!
- Thoughts will be heard or subbed so people know what she's thinking.
Summary:
- She's being punished. She doesn't remember what it is for yet, but of this she is sure. But she's anemic, to the point that she can't walk and her body is physically weak and she has the feeling that she was injured earlier. Her entire body feels like dead weight, and it feels heavy, and even lifting her hands is difficult. Furthermore, Kaname is unrelenting as he drinks deeply from her, his teeth leaving trails of blood all over her body
- She feels angry and helpless and upset all in one. Why are things like this? It's not the happily ever after she had once pictured. He praises her amid the punishment, telling her that because she hadn't drunk someone's blood... on that single part she had done great. The comment further frustrates her emotions, hand twitching as he bites her again. She feels breathless but manages a glare as he pulls up from her. And his comment only upsets her worse... commenting on the mortifying feeling of being powerless that she had already felt.
- Finally, she questions him, asking what it is that he wants her to be. He returned her weapon to her, apparently. Why did he do so...? What exactly is it that he wants her to be? He pats her head tenderly, like that of a child's, and tells her that she's fine just the way she is. It's just that... he only wanted her to realize that no matter how hard she tries, there are some things for which it will all come down to nothing. It's fatalistic and the feeling of uselessness washes over her anew. She questions him though. Why...? Why does everything he does and say sound as though all he has left in his heart is despair?
- She was gone...? Apparently so. She was gone for ten years, somehow or other, but she came back, so why is he like this? She just wants him to be like the kind brother she once knew. The one who was gentle... the one who had always loved and cared for her with the most innocent and tender of hearts. It's then that her eyes well up with tears and he bites and drinks from her anew.
- The truth... is that she's not enough for him. Isn't that right? The feeling chokes her. All of this... it's her fault, isn't it? He ends up countering her thoughts just slightly though, in the end. He's just frightened...and doesn't want her to give up her life for something meaningly.
Because he never wants to experience that again.
Commentary:
- Apparently, they were separated for ten years somehow
- No matter what she does, it isn't enough.
- Things are rough between the two of them...
- Apparently she had done something wrong and was punished as a result. But she has her weapon?
- Something in the past happened to Kaname.
Effects:
Not in the best frame of mind after this. It reinforces her feelings of uselessness and that no matter how hard she tries, it all comes down to nothing.
Memory 12
(VKM Chapter 1)
Things to note:
- Everything should be from her perspective. If she is not present, she obviously didn't hear the conversation.
- She is about 12 years old here
Summary:
- Yuuki meets a new roommate for the first time! Her name is Sayori Wakaba. Recently, it seems that all of the roommates she's gotten have mysteriously transferred. :(
- Her friend's dad seems really kind and worried! Sayori says he told her (Yori) to be friends with her Yuuki, so obviously this makes him a really thoughtful and kind person.
- Yuuki ends up asking if she'll be friends with her... she's a little shy about the fact, that Yori tells her that would be just fine. That's when the embarrassment happens though...!
- Her adoptive father appears to be spying on them from a tree. He gets excited when Yori says that she'll be friends with Yuuki and says he's so glad, because she doesn't have any friends. Yuuki promptly knocks him out of the tree with a pillow, closes the window, and apologizes for the headmaster.
- Yori questions why she calls him headmaster instead of father. She says that if he wasn't the chairman she'd say father, but she prefers it like this while in school. Otherwise, she worries what people might think since he's too doting.
- Later, they've finished their classes and such, but on their way back to the dorm, Yori asks for Yuuki to go on ahead because she left her notebook. She's fine with this, and while heading out she runs into a familiar face...! It's Zero. He has the notebook which Sayori dropped, so she runs back to find her with her 'acquaintance'.
- Upon finding Sayori again, she sees that she's with and has met Kuran Kaname. Excited to see him, she floats over, exclaiming 'Kaname-sama!' He pets her on the head and smiles gently, and explains to her that she should feel relieved now. Her new roommate won't suddenly change schools. She's confused about this but mostly just happy to see him. And that's where the memory fades and ends.
Commentary:
- Guess I didn't have friends... wonder why they kept transferring out :(
- Sayori seems like a really sweet girl and friend though.
- Zero had already moved in.
- Looks like she stayed in the dorms despite the chairman being her father
- Speaking of him, she doesn't call him father but only chairman or headmaster.
- Adoptive father is REALLY embarrassing
Effects:
It makes her wonder more about the past. Why couldn't she hold onto any friends... glad to know she met a friend like Sayori though. Glad to see more of her adoptive father, too.
Memory 13
Part One - Part 2
( Chapter 53 & 54 )
Things to Note:
- Only scenes that specifically have Yuuki in them are featured! Everything is from her point of view.
- The names Yuuki, Kaname, Yori, Sara, and Zero are all clear!
- The memory flashes back to just before the ball. Please assume that the memory was witnessed in order! With her getting ready, having a difficult discussion with Kaname, and then attending the ball.
Summary:
- Kaname is giving Yuuki a mani-pedi! While doing so, they are discussing the imminent ball. He remarks that Zero will be there doing hunter work. It's clear it's been a long time since she's seen him. And in fact, it's verified later that it's been a year. He asks if she's scared he'll pull a weapon on them, but she tells him she trusts that he won't suddenly.
- Next, they discuss Vampire Society and how she is likely to be treated. He warns her that most vampires there are not their friends. That many will try to say things, even about their late parents to either get in close with them, throw them off balance, or both. He explains the public perception of their parent's deaths, though it seems clear that what the public knows and what happened are different. Either way, she cries and he wipes her tears away, apologizing. He warns her that because their blood is the most delicious, and other vampires are drawn to them, they're nothing but prey to them. But that because they are the pureblood, they have the ability to control them if needed. He warns her to be careful and that he hasn't even told them her name. It's up to her how much she wants to divulge.
- It flashes then to Yuuki getting ready for the ball. She seems nervous, however, like she wants to back out. The woman with her comments on her nails and how they already seem fine. It's Because Kaname has already done them for her. She reminds Yuuki that there are many people she hasn't seen for a long time and because they are in public she should keep her composure, to which she agrees.
- Kaname finally arrives to get her once ready. She calls him 'Oniisama' -- Older brother, but he chastises her, reminding her that she had promised she would simply call him 'Kaname' for the occasion.
- Finally, the two of them make their entrance at the ball-- making this her first introduction to vampire society. Upon entering, she sees Zero-- gives a slight tip of the head, before moving on.
- Almost at once, the aristocracy is upon Yuuki, commenting upon her appearance to her parents, asking for her name, and looking for reactions while trying to get close. She does offer her name, and the nobles go on and on about how precious she and the pureblood are to them. One offers her some wine mixed with blood but she refuses. Kaname assures her at least that the blood was aquired safely.
- Suddenly she smells a human and it's familiar. She goes to investigate and finds her childhood friend Yori is there. Sara is touching her arm and Zero has his grip upon Sara and is threatening. Yuuki intervenes and asks that he release her because she is a precious guest. He tells her not to touch him and she releases him once Sara is freed. Zero takes Yori and drags her off, and immediately after Aidou approaches to tell her to retire to a particular room. And that there, Kaname has arranged for her to meet with her friend.
- Yuuki retires to the room, but it's all she can do to keep it together. Its been a year since she's seen or heard from her friend, and in order to see her she came to such a dangerous place just to do that...
Commentary:
- It's been a year since I've seen everyone after
- Zero and I are still enemies in this apparently. He's ice-cold...
- Sara drank someone's blood recently hmm
- My friend is really reckless but I love her =(
- I kind of don't like the vampire elite...
- Kaname gives amazing mani-pedis
- Everything thinks my parents gave up on the world... =(
Effects: More aware that navigating vampire society is difficult, and it gives her more questions about the deaths of her parents.
Memory 14
(VKM Chapter 27 Scans)
Things to note:
- Everything is from Yuuki's point of view!
- Her name and all other names listed here are heard
Summary:
- There is an emergency meeting and announcement made to the vampire population, conducted by Yuuki who is, clearly, the queen or leader in charge.
- Relations between vampires and humans have deteriorated after the vampires have been wrongfully accused by humans of multiple attacks, and have been on the receiving end of hostility.
- Yuuki has clearly been trying to temper the vampires down and is now suggesting that they retreat into their own lands and separate themselves from humans for the indefinite near future. The vampires are very clearly outraged and angry by this, feeling that they are the only ones who are constantly having to give up their rights and freedom.
- The audience accuses her of being on the human's side, rather than their own side, and there are audible mumbles through the audience about their lack of trust in her and her leadership.
- Another woman who looks-- well, she looks a lot like Yuuki herself storms in and accuses Yuuki of being the source of all of their problems and demands that the audience get her. While some hesitate, most rush forward with the intent of capturing Yuuki. Before they can, however, she dissolves into butterflyes and disappears.
Commentary:
- Not a real popular leader, huh
- Failed to negotiate peace with humans and vampires
- Guess I was handcuffed once before and it was uncomfortable?
- Leaving our lands and separating for a while seems like a good idea tho
- Pretty sure that was my daughter that told everyone to get me
Effects: Hmm. HMMMM. More liable to fall on her sword and take undue blame for the people important to her I guess.
