Summary:
- The memory begins darkly. No amusement touches Kaguya's face as she makes her way through a few winding corridors and down the stairs into an old building. A cascade of butterflies trail off her, fluttering in her wake. Their catch up to join with her, melting into her skin only to depart again-- it seems that somehow they are a part of her. It seems to be a private establishment, but as Kaguya makes her way inside the patrons inside look at first shocked, before everyone bows in reverence.
- She is greeted respectfully-- like royalty and told that the owner of the establishment has not seen her since a winter soiree. He inquires into her sudden appearance, and she wastes little time explaining her reasons for coming. She explains that on that very night an attack was carried out onto a man-- and that the person who had attempted to carry out that attack hadn't needed to be killed had he not done such a foolish thing. And she is quick to note that the criminal who had tried to harm someone close to her was actually a servant of the man running the establishment.
- At once the lord of the building explains that he had not given any such orders when a woman asks to politely interject, calling her a 'pureblood mistress'. She explains that a particular person serving at her side is one thing, but that people are unhappy about her intimate relationship to a different particular person. The woman then pleads that Kaguya choose a fellow pureblood as a partner to settle down with.
- Unimpressed, Kaguya asks if they are demanding that in return for their reverence she have such an obligation to them. Everyone remains bowed, and the woman reassures her that no, their loyalty cannot allow for such a thing and that as creatures of the night they are unable to oppose her. She's further reassured that such a relationship is seen as a blessing to all present, however.
- Suddenly a server girl speaks up, raising her hand and asking if Kaguya will allow her to say something. Kaguya allows it and the girl explains that basically people are angry that their precious pureblood might someday bear a child to an ex-archenemy. It's something that would be super annoying to them, and that's why people are angry and want to come between them. An older man hurriedly tells her to be quiet, but Kaguya concedes that unfortunately, that seems to be the case.
- Not playing around, Kaguya's face darkens and she moves, holding a hand out to her side. The butterflies swarm together and merge, forming into that of a gigantic scythe. There's a clear threat in the air, but she tells all that is present that they mustn't throw away lives carelessly, especially since they would just be thwarted by herself and that person. That's all she came to say... and by the looks in the room, there's a mix of regret, chagrin, and frustration upon the faces of the patrons once she finishes up.
Commentary: - She can use part of herself to disintegrate into butterflies or even form a weapon from it! - She's a pureblood vampire. That means she's royalty... - Vigilante justice...! - Don't fuck with the people she cares about or you might get dead. Fair warning...! - Someone tried to kill someone important to her due to their relationship but the criminal was killed. - Politics suck
Effects: She's a little shocked to learn that she's a pureblood due to the fact that she also has memories of having been human. Isn't that impossible...? She isn't sure what to think about a number of things now. And who is it that people wanted to kill...?
