Biography If there was ever a vampire that could be described as a ray of sunshine, Yuuki is it. Bright, warm, and cheerful, Yuuki is both kind and compassionate. She cares deeply about people and openly wears her emotions on her sleeve. Because she's grown up so sheltered she has a rose-colored view of the world. This leaves her as somewhat naive to the cruel realities that exist outside of the garden of protection she's been raised in. She looks for the best in people and tends to put the well being of those she cares about above her own. If someone needs a trustworthy and devoted friend, she makes the best and won't ever abandon someone important to her. Yuuki is comforting, loves taking care of others, and does best when this aspect of herself can shine. She loves hard but this is also one of her biggest downfalls. On the flip side of Yuuki's love is the fact that it isn't always healthy. She can be incredibly co-dependent, most likely a result of her upbringing in isolation away from others outside of her family. She is used to being protected and has always longed to be a person of use to her family instead. They are her entire world and all she knows and so she longs to be of use to them. Her desire to prove herself as needed and capable can often lead into recklessness. While she strives to be independent and live a normal life like any girl her age would, she still clings tight to being an ideal daughter and lover. While she dearly loves her brother their relationship is quite uneven and not always healthy. She is overly devoted and her intense feelings can result in her losing sight of what else exists around her. Despite these shortcomings, Yuuki has a very strong sense of right and wrong. She’s determined, and even when things seem hopeless and she sometimes loses her way, she never fully gives up. At times she's described herself as having been lost inside a deep dark forest. But rather than shroud herself in darkness, she fights to find the exit and sun again. She’s stubbornly determined and doesn’t know when to call it quits. That determination can, once more, lead to somewhat reckless and foolish behavior. Without considering her own safety she’s prone to leaping to the aide of others and quick to threaten those who might harm her loved ones. Her tactics are up front and she’s not one for subtleties. Despite her high born station, she doesn’t consider herself charming or mysterious like her fellow pureblood. She’s emotional, up-front, honest, and can’t hide her feelings. On the contrary, she can be naive and childish. She sulks, gets frustrated with her own shortcomings, but always looks for the best in people. The ends don’t justify the means and she isn’t willing to sacrifice or use others for her own goals. Yuuki is genuinely kind and full of warmth and love. She just wants to be happy. And wholeheartedly she devotes herself to the happiness of those closest to her and toward coexistence. IN-GAME HISTORY: Yuuki has been raised in isolation, away from the eyes of others and those who might use her. Born about five years after the murder of her true older brother at the hands of her uncle, Rido (A death that society at large is unaware of), Yuuki's parents feared that she would become the target of another such attack, or would be used due to the politics that surround them. Without anyone else in the world aware of her existence but for her immediate family, Yuuki was kept secret and raised within a windowless basement in one of the Kuran Manors for her own protection. Under the protective care of her parents and with the company of her brother she's lived a happy, but sheltered life. As a result, everything is brand new to her in the outside world and she's fairly naive to the realities that exist outside of her safe home. Her parents have provided her with a well-rounded education, even if school and studying isn't her strong suit. In fact, she, unusually, struggles in her studies. However, she's learned how to dance, how to play the cello and every card game in existence that her family could think of. For her own protection, her mother has given her Artemis, an anti-vampire hunter weapon, and has trained her in how to use it. Like her parents who were siblings, too, Yuuki is engaged to be married to her older brother, Kaname. This news has only been recently provided to society at large. A month before the opening of the Night Class, Yuuki attended her first soriee and made her official introduction to society. The party was well attended and a success even if she wasn't there for long. Because Chairman Cross is a dear friend of the Kurans, Yuuki is allowed to attend Cross Academy, rather than remain at home for the first time. The only stipulation is that her brother attends alongside her as the head of the night class. With plenty of allies to the Kuran family in school, as well as the presence of a number of hunters, her parents now feel it is safe enough from the threat of Rido and the flimsy care of the Senate. Prior to the start of school, Yuuki ran away from home for a day or two in order to visit a couple of the pureblood families that were on the fence about attending the academy. While it made a small scene and she ended up making a hunter friend, she'll go into the school having helped convince Kamui Sumeragi to attend and having met Zero Kiryuu.
